Zimmer ausmalen | coloring my room

Grün, grün, grün sind alle meine Wände....

... naja nicht ganz.
Gestern haben wir mein Zimmer ausgemalt und ich muss sagen so gefällts mir wieder sehr gut!
Seit nicht ganz einem Jahr hab ich nun geplant mein Zimmer anders zu gestallten und vorgestern sagte Mama dann zu mir: Jetzt hast du mich lange genug damit genervt. Ich hab Farbe für dein Zimmer gekauft!"

Und das Ergebnis kann sich anschaun lassen!

Yesterday we painted my room and I have to say, I love it! :) 

Since little less than a year I have now planned to give my room another look. And the day before yesterday mom said to me: Now you've annoyed me long enough for. I bought color for your room! "

Mainz

Ich wollte nur kurz eben einen kurzen Post über Mainz machen. Wie einige von euch wissen bin ich ja jetzt 17 Monate lang jede Woche nach London ins Royal Free Hospital geflogen (ca 260 Flüge) um an einer klinischen Studie teilzunehmen. 
Diese Woche hatte ich meine erste Infusion aber in Mainz. das heißt für mich:

• 2 Flüge pro Woche weniger
• mehr Zeit zuhause
• die Möglichkeit arbeiten zu gehen

Ich vermisse die netten Leute (Alison, Cecil, Keith, James, Marylin, Ulrike,...) die ich in London kennengelernt und fast jede Woche gesehen habe. Aber die Reisezeit ist sehr verkürzt nun und wir steigen in Frankfurt AUS und nicht UM 

Bald wird ein Post mit Fotos aus Mainz folgen, Mainz ist nämlich eine echt schöne Stadt!

Ich glaube ich werde mich dort wohl fühlen.

Mainz

I wanted to briefly give a short post over Mainz. As some of you know I am now 17 months every week to London to the Royal Free Hospital flown (about 260 flights) to participate in a clinical trial.

This week I had my first infusion but in Mainz. that means for me:

•      2 flights per week less
•      more time at home
•      the opportunity to go to work

I miss the nice people (Alison, Cecil, Keith, James, Marilyn, Ulrike, ...) that I have met in London and saw almost every week. But the travel time is greatly shortened and now we get into Frankfurt OFF and not UM

Soon, a post will follow with photos of Mainz, Mainz is in fact a really nice city!


I think I'll feel comfortable there.

London

für zumindest 24 Wochen das letzte Mal London und das Wetter, wer hat es anders erwartet war totaler Schmarrn. Regen, Regen, Regen und nochmal Regen. Einmal hatten wir sogar 3x am Tag Schneeschauer. Ausser einen Tag da wars angenehm. Den haben wir auch in Kew Gardens verbracht. 
Naja wen wundert es da noch, dass unsre Koffer zum Bersten voll waren? 

Ich schreibe immer von "wir" - wer ist denn nun wir? - Wir dass sind ich und meine Mama, die mich in den letzten 17 Monaten fast immer begleitet hat.

Wir waren mit Sarah, Alex und Alison im "Fortum & Masion" einem Luxus-Tee-Salon. Stellt euch mal vor 5 Tees und ein paar Häppchen 138 Pfund. Aber es war Sarahs Geburtstag, und ein Once in a Lifetime (einmal im Leben)
Tags darauf haben wir uns dann wieder getroffen im Hardrock Café. Diesesmal mit Alison, David, Georgia und Sarah. Und auch Chris haben wir kennengelernt.
Georgia ist so ein liebes Mädchen und ihre Haare ein Traum!
Wir hatten super Essen und viel Spaß und stellt euch vor am Schluss hab ich noch ein Hard Rock Café T-Shirt geschenkt bekommen!

Mama und ich sind dann ein Stück nach ausserhalb London gefahren, wo wir uns mit Anna und ihrer Familie getroffen haben. 
Francesca hat im Musical Footloos mitgespielt und das haben wir uns angeschaut.
Carlos hat mir immer wieder gesagt:" Maria, I like you" "Maria, I love you" und während der Show wollte er neben mir sitzen um mich umarmen und küssen zu können :)

Ausserdem haben wir ein Balett gesehen und "Let it Be".

Ich werde London vermissen vorallem Alison, die beste Nurse!

London

for at least 24 weeks the last time and the weather in London, who has otherwise expected was  rubbish. Rain, rain, rain and rain again. Once we even had snow showers 3 times a day. Except one day weather was ok. We spent this day in Kew Gardens.
Well what a surprise then, that our suitcases were full to bursting?
I always write about "us" - who is that now we? - We are that I and my mom, who has been with me in the last 17 months, almost always.
On Friday we met upwith Sarah, Alex and Alison in "Fortum & Masion" a luxury tea room. Just imagine before 5 tees and a few snacks 138 pounds. But it was Sarah's birthday, and a Once in a Lifetime
The next day we finally met again at the Hard Rock Café. This time with Alison, David, Sarah and Georgia. And we got to know Chris. 
Georgia is so a cute girl and her hair is amazing! We had great food and fun and imagine the end I've got a Hard Rock Cafe T-shirt for free!
Mom and I drove a little to the outside of London, where we met up with Anna and her family.
Francesca played in the musical Footloos and we've looked at.
Carlos has told me again and again: "Mary, I like you" "Maria, I love you" and during the show he wanted to sit next to me to hug and kiss mi  :-)
We have also seen a ballet and "Let it Be".
I will miss London especially Alison, the best Nurse! :-)

Alle aufgepasst jetzt kommen viele Blumenfotos, aber ohne die Leidenschaft Blumen zu fotografieren, wäre ich wohl nicht die tochter meiner Mama. :-)

Darf ich vorstellen? Sir Frederik (genannt Fredl) und Fini. Die Beiden haben mal uns gehört, und heute haben wir es (nach sagen und schreibe fast 2 Jahren) mal geschafft sie zu besuchen und sie sind immer noch so schön!
Ich zeige euch ein paar Bilder die ich gemacht habe von ihnen.

Photowalk oder doch nicht? 

Da freut man sich die ganze Woche, weil so schönes Wetter ist und man plant einen Photowalk und schwupp am Samstag regnet es.
Somit ist unser Photowalk natürlich ins Wasser gefallen.

Jetzt hab ich zwar keine Fotos gemacht, aber einen schönen Nachmittag hatten wir trotzdem.

Am Abend hab ich dann mit meiner Familie den seltsamen Fall von Benjamin Button angeschaut und ich muss sagen, ich bin froh, dass es das nicht wirklich gibt. 

Kennt ihr diesen Film? 

Der Film beginnt im August 2005, zwei Jahre nach Benjamins Tod, zur Zeit des Hurrikans Katrina, als die alte Daisy im Sterben liegt. Ihre Tochter Caroline, die bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht weiß, wer ihr Vater ist, möchte sie in ihren letzten Stunden begleiten. Daisy erzählt die Geschichte eines blinden Uhrmachers, der gegen Ende des Ersten Weltkrieges den Auftrag erhalten hatte, eine Bahnhofsuhr anzufertigen. Dieser Mann hatte seinen einzigen Sohn durch den Krieg verloren. Als die Uhr feierlich enthüllt und gestartet wurde, erschraken die Zuschauer, denn sie lief rückwärts. Der Uhrmacher erklärte, dass dies keinesfalls ein Versehen gewesen sei, denn er habe das Uhrwerk - in der Hoffnung, auf diese Weise die Zeit zurückdrehen und seinen Sohn wieder zum Leben erwecken zu können - absichtlich so gebaut.
Nach dieser Geschichte bittet Daisy Caroline, aus dem Tagebuch eines Freundes – Benjamin Button – vorzulesen. Die eigentliche Handlung stellt sich als Rückblick auf die Aufzeichnungen von Benjamin dar, der im selben Jahr geboren wurde, als die rückwärts laufende Uhr zu ticken begann. Seine geistige Entwicklung und Körpergröße bei seiner Geburt im Jahre 1918 in New Orleans entsprechen der eines Babys, ansonsten weist er jedoch alle körperlichen Merkmale eines Greises auf (körperliche Gebrechen, Alterssichtigkeit usw.).
Nachdem Benjamins Mutter bei der Geburt gestorben ist, legt der vom Anblick seines Sohnes entsetzte Vater, der reiche Knopf-Fabrikant Thomas Button, das Kind an der Schwelle eines Altenpflegeheims ab. Die Betreiberin Queenie nimmt das Findelkind auf und erhält vom Arzt die Nachricht, dass es bei seinem körperlichen Zustand wohl nicht lange leben werde. Doch Benjamins biologische Uhr tickt rückwärts und so wird sein Körper immer jünger.
Im Heim lernt Benjamin die fünf Jahre junge Daisy – die Enkelin einer Heimbewohnerin – kennen, die später eine erfolgreiche Ballerina wird. Als Benjamin älter wird, nimmt sein leiblicher Vater Kontakt zu ihm auf, ohne ihm jedoch zu offenbaren, wer er ist. Im Alter von 17 Jahren verlässt Benjamin das Altenpflegeheim und fährt zur See. Anfänglich hält er den Kontakt zu Daisy; doch als er ihr schreibt, dass er sich verliebt habe, bricht der Kontakt ab.
Nach Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs kehrt Benjamin nach New Orleans zurück und trifft die leichtlebige Daisy wieder, die inzwischen ein Engagement in einem New Yorker Ballett erhalten hat. Obgleich die beiden einander emotional zugetan sind, widersetzt sich Benjamin Daisys Wunsch, mit ihr zu schlafen. Daisy reist enttäuscht wieder nach New York ab.
Als Benjamins Vater spürt, dass er kurz vor dem Tode steht, offenbart er sich gegenüber Benjamin: Er bereut, dass er ihn einst als Baby weggegeben hat, obwohl er Benjamins Mutter am Sterbebett versprochen hatte, für das Kind zu sorgen. Er vererbt seinem Sohn die Knopffabrik "Button's Buttons" und macht ihn so finanziell unabhängig. Benjamin reist nach New York, um Daisy wieder zu treffen, muss dort allerdings feststellen, dass sie inzwischen mit einem anderen Mann liiert ist, und kehrt unverrichteter Dinge nach Hause zurück.
Einige Zeit später wird Daisy während eines Gastspielaufenthaltes in Paris von einem Auto angefahren und muss aufgrund eines komplizierten Beinbruches ihre Tanzkarriere beenden. Benjamin reist nach Paris, um Daisy zu sehen, doch diese fordert ihn auf, aus ihrem Leben zu verschwinden, da sie nicht erträgt, dass Benjamin sie in ihrem Zustand sieht. Einige Jahre später kehrt sie zurück nach New Orleans. Daisy und Benjamin, beide um die 40, beginnen eine Beziehung. Benjamin ist in der Phase seines Lebens, in der sein Aussehen zu seinem wirklichen Alter passt. Sie verleben einige glückliche Jahre, und schließlich wird Daisy schwanger und bringt ein gesundes Mädchen zur Welt. Es erhält den Namen von Benjamins Mutter Caroline.
Benjamin wird klar, dass er nun selbst bald zum Jugendlichen und Kind werden wird und seiner Tochter daher kein richtiger Vater sein kann. Bevor die Tochter alt genug ist, um eine nachhaltige Erinnerung an ihn aufzubauen, hinterlässt er Daisy und dem Kind sein Vermögen und reist in der Welt umher.
Als seine Tochter ein Teenager geworden ist, kommt Benjamin – nun selbst ein junger Mann – nochmals nach New Orleans zurück, um Daisy zu treffen. Diese hat inzwischen geheiratet. Der Stiefvater gilt als der Vater des Kindes. Daisy, in ihren späten 50ern, und Benjamin, nun optisch in den 20ern, verbringen eine letzte Liebesnacht miteinander, gehen dann aber wieder getrennte Wege.
Damit endet das Tagebuch. Den Rest der Geschichte erzählt Daisy: Nachdem Benjamin sich äußerlich zum Pubertierenden und dann zum Kind gewandelt hat, findet er Aufnahme in dem Altenheim, in dem er aufgewachsen ist und das die Tochter seiner Pflegemutter von dieser übernommen hat. Als Daisy ihn aufsucht, erkennt er sie nicht mehr. Daisy zieht trotzdem in das Altersheim und pflegt dort den inzwischen zum Kleinkind und Baby gewordenen Benjamin, der schrittweise sein Gedächtnis verliert, dann das Gehen und das Sprechen verlernt, bis er schließlich mit 85 Jahren und dem Körper eines Neugeborenen in ihren Armen stirbt.
Am Ende des Films erreicht der Hurrikan das Krankenhaus. Daisy stirbt. Die Bahnhofsuhr, die sich gegen den Uhrzeigersinn dreht und inzwischen abgenommen wurde, wird überschwemmt, tickt aber immer noch.

Eine traurige Geschichte finde ich. Aber mir hat der Film dennoch gefallen.

 Photo Walk or is it?

As one looks forward all week because so nice weather and to plan a Photo Walk on Saturday and whoosh it rains.

Thus our Photo Walk is naturally fallen into the water.

Some time later, Daisy is approached during a guest stay in Paris by a car and has to stop because of a complicated Beinbruches her dancing career. Benjamin went to Paris to see Daisy, but that calls on him to disappear from their lives because they can not bear that Benjamin sees in her condition. A few years later, she returned to New Orleans. Daisy and Benjamin, both around 40, start a relationship. Benjamin is at the stage of his life, in his appearance fits his real age. You spend a few happy years, and finally Daisy pregnant and bring a healthy baby girl. It gets the name of Benjamin's mother, Caroline.
Benjamin is clear that he is now even soon to be teenagers and children, and his daughter, therefore can not be a real father. Before the daughter is old enough to create a sustainable memory of him, he leaves Daisy and the child his fortune and travels about the world.
When his daughter became a teenager, is Benjamin - now himself a young man - again back to New Orleans to meet Daisy. This has gotten married. The stepfather is considered the father of the child. Daisy, in her late 50s, and Benjamin, now visually in the 20's, one last night of love spending time together, but then go their separate ways.
Thus, the diary ends. The rest of the story Daisy: After Benjamin outwardly to puberty and then changed for the child, he will be received in the nursing home where he grew up and took over the daughter of his foster-mother of this. As Daisy visit him, he no longer recognizes it. Daisy moves into the nursing home and still maintains there now for the toddler and baby become Benjamin, who gradually loses his memory, then walking and talking forgotten until he age of 85 and the body of a newborn baby dies in her arms.
At the end of the film reaches the hurricane the hospital. Daisy died. The clock, which rotates counterclockwise, and has since been removed, is flooded, but still ticking.

It´s a sad story, but I liked the movie.
